One of my favourite times of day is what's called the "golden hour" - that is the magical time during sunset when everything is bathed in a golden light. It feels like it could last forever, but it is fleeting. The moments after that are perhaps more special. When the sun goes down, city streets light up in a different way. It requires a steady hand and patience, but the reward is quite sweet.
4x4 - Monochrome
I frequently shoot medium format film, on either a Hasselblad or a Lubitel. Black and white is captivating. One of my favourite scenes with it are "structure-scapes".
People in Motion
We tend to be unaware of our surroundings. We do not pause and see who is watching us.
I find transportation captivating, and in particular the wheels we use on a daily basis to get to and from.
Bustling scenes are great and lively, but there is something to be said for peaceful, empty places.
Product Photography is a vital part of the production process. A strong product image can communicate volumes.
I think photos of the sky and clouds are over-looked and under-valued.
Full scenery is beautiful, but there is something to be said for capturing space inside of space.
4x4 - Vivid
I shoot a lot of my film photography with a Lubitel, of which I have several. They are very leaky and this causes separations in the colour layers. I love how it works, and to run film through that is long since expired. It produces very unreliable, exciting colours.
