I’ve always been driven by a desire to do more. To see the world, learn new skills, try new things, share what I’ve learned with others, make new friends. I’ve always had a creative thread to how I interact with the world. My introduction to photography happened while studying astrophysics; I put a camera on a telescope and captured the moon, Jupiter’s moons, and Saturn’s rings. At some point it occurred to me that I could point the camera to things here on Earth as well. I had found my fate, I felt compelled to share how I viewed the world with everybody I knew.
I enjoy running, exploring, and going off the beaten path. This is demonstrated in my photography by often going into very rural places or places that require patience and endurance to visit. I also enjoy capturing images to use as a launch point for another true love of my life, watercolour painting. One of the most fundamental things I’ve learned in my exploration of the universe is that everything is connected; this is true with my art as well.
